We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
3.0
A deceivingly simple story at first glance, with a lot of mysteries and questions still unanswered for me. It had this eerie, tickling feeling at the back of your neck; you feel something is not completely right with the way the narrator tells the story, yet you can't fully see the truth behind it. I really liked the portrayal of family and the way family can trap you in certain conditions. The ending left me wanting even just a bit of more explanation, but it ended quite suddenly, sadly.
