Reading the other reviews, I would definitely agree that this was a politically charged book. I really like reading Paretsky's works, so it didn't detract too much from the enjoyment of book. At times, I was a little bothered by the black and white depiction of evil-conservatives and downtrodden/lovely -liberals. It was nice to finally finish it, my Dad accidentally left with the book when I only had 40 pages left, so I had to wait for him to send it to me. I will read her books as long as she continues to write them.
