The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton
3.0
I find that I'm having a hard time deciding how I feel about this book. I think it was beautifully written, and the plot really intrigued me.
However, I had a problem with the execution. I found it very slow moving, jumping to lots of perspectives (which I usually don't mind) and at times I was just bored. I kept reading because there was something that had grabbed my interest, and there would be points that would be so enjoyable I'd find myself smiling.
The last 100 pages where the best in my opinion. It started piecing all the perspectives together, and I didn't want to stop reading. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the end, the first 300 pages is what kept me from giving it a 4 stars.
