Watson is such a patient man, and it is rarely more obvious than in this story. Sherlock is just totally egotistical and too busy to let Watson know where he is or what he's up to, poor lad. All of that to say it's not surprising that Sherlock meets a man who, on first appearance, tells him "I covet your skull" and only becomes more willing to help with his case. Weirdo. But, overall, this was a fun, quick story with a slightly less than satisfying, and not very fantastical, outcome, but it had some funny moments and a few characters that added a nice layer of complexity that overall made for at least an interesting scenario, if not an interesting solution to the case.
