Panic
by Lauren Oliver
*Spoiler Alert*
I am not a big fan of contemporary, but I love the Delirium Trilogy by Lauren Oliver so I had to check this one out. Unfortunately, I didn't love it. I could not get into the whole "panic" experience. Why are high school seniors participating in the so called games? I understand the appeal for money and the glory of winning, but why? I kept asking myself this the entire time reading. If your town is boring can't you just travel to the next most exciting town? Go to the beach, get a summer job, travel with your friends. It's your last summer before people start to really refer to you as an adult, and all you want to do is play "Panic". Yea, I didn't get it.
But, the book definitely wrapped up nicely for all you delirium fans. There were no burning questions at the end. We(the characters) are all so friendly we shared the money. Huh? Seriously? If your a high school senior and you just won thousands of dollars are you really gonna split the pot. HELL NO! I know I wouldn't have at 18. I would have treated my friends to a nice vacation, but you are not getting your hand on my money. lol
Sorry Lauren Oliver, but this was my least favorite of all your books.
