Witches, shifters, vampires, demons… there’s a lot going on in this story. Tessa comes back to Hollow Cove after a bad breakup and moves in with her aunts - and finds out she’s now part of the Merlin Group and is supposed to help save the town from bad demons. But it’s been years since she practiced magic and she’s not sure what to do. Then there’s the vampire, Ronin, who befriends her, and the shifter-cop who hates her on sight.
There is a lot going on in this story. I enjoyed it up to a point. Sometimes it got a little confusing, but overall, this was a good story. But it is definitely the first in a series because there were a lot of threads left dangling.
Recommendation: Recommended with caution because of the dangling threads and the occasionally confusion.
