At long last, a Stephenson book whose ending is in some ways even better than the rest of the book! An extraordinarily engaging read from soup to nuts. I think at one point in the middle we're expected to follow at least six different narrative threads spread out across the globe...and at least one in a virtual world that makes Azeroth look small and Pong-like. A real tour-de-force as an action/suspense/caper novel, but definitely not featuring that all-best-are-off wild futurist imagination that Stephenson usually features.
