Another cozy Adenashire read, this time focused on Doli, the dwarf who yields tea magic. She is given a family inheritance of a dragon egg that hatches and immediately bonds with Doli, thus sending her on an unexpected journey of new parenthood and learning to care for and raise a young dragon named Evvy. While there is conflict and a battlescene to save Evvy, this is largely focused more on the relationships of the characters and their development. There is a romantic storyline with Doli and Sarson, a gargoyle new to town, with some fade-to-black spice. Ultimately it focuses on Doli's growth and ability to set boundaries and communicate within all her various relationships.
I read the Kindle digital version and I page 248 noticed one typo where it seems the wrong character name was used. "She quickly stuffed Doli completely into the sling and despite the Dragon’s squeaky protests, the Dwarf buttoned it up." - seems like it should have been: "She quickly stuffed Evvy completely into the sling and despite the Dragon’s squeaky protests, the Dwarf buttoned it up."
