I really shouldn't have liked this book. The writing leaves a lot to be desired, and straight romance just isn't my thing, but I enjoyed the film and thought I'd give it a go - I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. The toxic relationships are hard to turn away from, but the use of ableist language, and slut-shaming are a big turn off. I did like it enough that I'll consider reading the second one...
