***I listened as an audiobook, I did not read from pages. This affects my interpretation, especially as I listened to the author himself read it.***
Amazing book, could only have come from someone like John Green. It's a wonderful blend of his own personal experiences, the stories of others he knows, and history lessons on tuberculosis.
Enjoyed it much more than expected, as I often don't read non-fiction, but I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in disease, history, or global economics.
Best virtue was the variety of methods John Green argues for equity in medicine. Worst sin is repitition of specific points. I personally don't take issue with his repetition, I think it may actually be important for the readers not as experienced in interpreting nuance. However, I could see more skilled readers finding it a bit abrasive.
