2021: I loved the psychological ambiguity and the witchy rituals and atmosphere. At times the pace dragged as Felicity asked herself the same questions over and over. I didn’t empathize with any of the characters immediately, though they were all complex and real. I’ll probably enjoy this more upon rereading.
2022: the dark academia and witchy atmosphere is still my favorite thing. I did appreciate the non-binary representation and the couple discussions Felicity had with Leony about being black at Dalloway. Ellis was a less intriguing character for me this reread, but Felicity was more.
