Listening to this in 2025 and living in the states is.... well. A lot to say the very least. 
I don't know if it's my own incompetence in remembering what I learned in school but I swear I was never taught what Stalin did in Soviet Ukraine and the other Soviet areas. It's disgusting and I feel so let down by my schooling in only teaching about the holocaust and even that it was just the camps and gas chambers.
I knew next to nothing about the atrocities that happened under Stalin and I'm just upset after listing to this book.

It's just al very heartbreaking what these two men did to so many people and to think there's still people who think they're "good" or something. It just doesn't sit right with me.
