Christmas Cupid by Ilsa Madden-Mills

3.0

After finishing Wreck The Halls by Tess Bailey earlier this year, I have been on the lookout for another holiday-themed rom-com. While Chrismas Cupid was short, it definitely did the trick. A hockey player and his captain's younger sister spent the weekend in a cabin snowed in. Some might say it's forbidden, but not if your captain is the one who set you up. Because it was a novella, it did seem a little rushed in the sense that the characters hated each other one second and then just simply didn't the next. Despite the rushed development of their relationship, the novella definitely showed the intense chemistry between Kyler and Iris. The unexpected third-act breakup, on the other hand, seemed unnecessary and could have been justified better with a longer book. I quite enjoyed this novella, and I definitely recommend that you curl up in a blanket (or, if you're in AUS like me, go sit by the pool) and read it during this holiday season.
