A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

5.0

i have no words, this was truly a masterpiece. i believe every one should read this.
it’s, without hesitation, my new favorite book: khaled hosseini has made me laugh, and cry, giggle and scream out of anger and happiness. it was an experience reading this. i was transported to the cities of afghanistan, during a time i was not even born. these are stories some only read about through news articles, ones that are devoid of feelings and sentiment, that have turned the population into statistics, that aim to dehumanize afghanistan and justify the horrors it has gone through. yet, the author has breathed life back into his people, has made them live a life full of love and sorrow and happiness and he has done so wonderfully.
please read this, it’s deserving of every praise.

(better review to come i am still in my feelings right now)
