Deeply strange novel. The characters I found to be well written, albeit extremely dislikable. The entirety of the novel occurs over the span of a few days, so many moments felt drawn out, long, and never-ending. The “performance art” piece that occurs in the novel is shockingly vile and seems to come out of nowhere. While I can appreciate the representation and queer aesthetics, the vast majority of this book was too much for me.
