okay, so this got dark. if you want groveling, this book has it in spades. if you want drama, it has that too. i have yet to find an author who can translate the charming, easy-going guy with secret depths into something that doesn't just come off as deceptive and gross. this was the same issue i had with hopeless by elsie silver. both of these guys were vets. all that being said, like...i did get a little emotional at one point. i don't know how you can't with the backstories given to kip and fiona. idk. idk. do i recommend? nah. but if you're looking for something really emotional and gives you that feeling you had when you were in tenth grade reading wattpad novels, here u go.
