This book is fascinating because of how Irene Sola ignores the traditional linear path of time. The book is a conglomeration of characters over the decades in this old rural home, and as I read, I was able to almost embrace the confusing order of events and focus on the characters themselves. This is a great dark fairytale of sorts, if you keep your mind open.
