M Is for Magic
by Neil Gaiman
no spoilers.
blurb: an audiobook of Neil Gaiman reading his short stories is some of the best company you can have.
Longer version: A lovely, quirky collection of short stories. Some are odd, some are sweet, at least one was just plain puzzling to me. I strongly recommend the audio version, as you can hear Gaiman smiling and being wistful and being charming all the way through. The art of storytelling is alive and well in Neil's hands.
Gaiman tries out some different styles, from a gumshoe mystery to a teenager attempting to talk to girls, to a mythic/magic tale of the months telling stories around a fire. A wonderful little collection of stories to make you laugh, or smile wistfully. I'd listen to this again and again.
