Odd Interlude #3 by Dean Koontz

Meh. This three-part interlude was my least favorite of the Odd Thomas books so far. There were some entertaining and suspenseful sections, but I think Koontz has gone overboard with his writing. What was once a clever use of language has become a verbal onslaught too distracting to read. On top of that, his characters are all so self-actualized and altruistic that they're no longer relatable. Especially the children.

I think I'm done with Koontz for a while. He was one of my favorites back in the Intensity days, but he's gotten too cerebral for me lately.
