the problem with this book is that it is a part of a series and so it’s expected you read the other books before you read this one. more than half of this book is aria and luca’s pov of events that took place in the last couple of books. normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but other than the romance and smut, there was literally nothing new. exact lines from the previous books except with a couple of names switched around to show it was a different perspective. and as someone who is reading the books back to back & consecutively, this is extremely dull. aria and luca already were not my favourite couple due to how boring their dynamic is to me (a personal opinion - both characters just come off as annoying) but trying to get through this book to get a couple of sentences of new content that MIGHT impact future novels such as the camorra chronicles which have characters that are mentioned in this series? not worth it. we finally get new content in the last 100 or so pages, and that is the only reason this book gets 2 stars for me. it’s not like this is a bad book - the main characters of this story are annoying and it’s insanely repetitive. the new content was interesting enough for me to want to read the camorra chronicles as there are many things you end up being curious about. but overall, unless u have the patience to read this, or haven’t read the prior novels recently (this book could almost be a recap novel) then it’s a hard pass.
