This was a moving memoir, and I appreciated her willingness to admit that memories cannot be perfect and to put her memories along side those of her siblings.

I cried so hard at parts of this, and the gaslighting and complete disregard of her parents for their children devastated me. The physical abuse was horrendous, but what hit me hardest was the moments of calm, the moments that made her doubt herself and her own recollection of incidences and to question her own sanity and worth.
