Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave
by Elle Cosimano
This is one of those tricky books to rate—because I still love the characters, the chaos, and the vibe of this series overall—but this installment didn’t quite hit the same high as the others for me. While the story was solid and the ending left me excited for what’s next, the pacing felt a bit slower and the stakes didn’t land as hard in the moment.
In a lot of ways, this book felt like a pivot point. Less of a standalone adventure and more of a necessary shift to get us to what’s coming next. I’m still fully onboard and excited for the ride—but I’ll admit I was hoping for a bit more momentum this round.
