Where Lightning Strikes by A.L. Jackson

3.0

It got to be a little too much angsty back and forth for me, but I enjoyed the latter half of the book. Tamar's backstory breaks your heart and then the chapter on Lyrik's past shatters it. While it says it can be read as a stand-alone I'd recommend reading the first two novels in the Bleeding Stars series: A Stone in the Sea and Drowning to Breathe first. Otherwise there are spoilers from the events surrounding the two main characters in the first two novels.
