A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime by Monica Murphy

1.0

I cannot imagine why anyone who's fully sane and not being held at gunpoint would ever say that Crew Lancaster is their THE book boyfriend. I mean I'm not a big fan of most of them but c'mon there's way better out there.

I don't know why I picked up this book, thinking that I'll like it, when it has as average rating of 3.6 stars. I usually don't pay attention to Goodreads ratings but a non-classic book having that low of a rating should've been alarming.

I enjoyed maybe the first 50 pages of the book excluding Crew's POV, because Wren was likable at first (for the first 50 out of 550+ pages). A bit judgemental and very sheltered yes, but likable. UNTIL the interactions between her and Crew started.

I'll admit, just for a few pages in between the book here and there, their relationship seems wholesome out of context, but that's not enough to redeem the book of even a single star.

The only thing I was looking forward too the whole time was Fig getting what he deserved, but even that wasn't satisfying.

And Crew. Of course yea Crew. I absolutely hate the shit out of him. HOW IS THIS BOOK SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE OBSESSED BOY TROPE WHEN HE IS PEAK MISOGYNY.

It would have worked okay if this was a psychological thriller, but Monica Murphy said it was a romance so I'm reviewing it as such -_-.

I'm not even gonna bother to mention the useless cursing and Wren's virginity—
