The second in Navessa Allen's 'Into Darkness' series, Caught Up is the story of Junior/Nico, cousin to Aly from Lights Out, and Lauren/Lo, his school sweetheart. Along with Lauren, the reader does not have all of the information until near the end. It did not make any difference to how much I liked Nico, but it was nice to have an impactful twist to the plot.
The plot, and the world in which it takes place, are engaging and enjoyable. The characters' behaviors are believable, even though set in a context that most of us will never have access to. I couldn't believe how quickly I read (listened to) this. That is to say there are no dead spots in the story, things are fast paced and interesting.
