The Holy Academy of Witches by Alora Black, Freya Grey

(I was provided an eARC in exchange for an honest review. )

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me, and I couldn't continue after a while. I tried to read it twice, but the book just doesn't work for me.

The characters weren't likeable, and I didn't find myself interested in any future bonds of them or improvements. I didn't like the way some characters were portrayed as well. The roommates didn't feel like they had much of anything for themselves other than being the main people's annoying roommates. Their actions felt to be exaggerated.

The story overall felt more like a fantasy school YA rather than a dark academia, which was a bit of a moodkiller for me from the start. I was excited about the dark academia aspect but didn't see much other than an academy, some aesthetic elements and didn't have the energy to keep on to the point of seeing any further through the book.
