The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

4.0

(I kept shifting between 4 and 4.5 - so somewhere in between, I suppose!)

This book was so truly beautiful. As soon as I started it I knew I was in for something special, and this really delivered. But, some parts felt a little too long and too repetitive. While the writing was lovely in these repetitive parts (and throughout the whole book, let's be honest!) it didn't really add anything to the story.
Perhaps it's just me and my impatience. I am happy to linger and ponder, but when that lingering and pondering isn't helping the story move forward or help the character develop I (personally) get a bit disconnected.
But, the writing is really so very beautiful.
