The Thief's Keeper by Kyrie Wang

5.0

“The Thief’s Keeper” is a prequel novella to Kyrie Wang’s Enemy’s Keeper series, and I thought it was an utterly fantastic read! Wang’s writing style is fast-paced and addicting, and I was 100% here for it.

This novella is told from the POVs of two teenagers named Aelfric and Aliwyn. Aelfric is a runaway thrall (slave) who is determined to leave England and go to Scotland, and Aliwyn is an extremely sick young woman who always puts others first.

When Aelfric and Aliwyn first met, they definitely clashed a lot. They’re so different, which made things harder in the beginning, but I truly believe they both learned to care for each other by the end of the novella. All in all, I really enjoyed this read, and I will definitely be continuing with the series!
