The Red Pyramid pulled me in right from the start. I enjoyed the premise and I thought it was really creative. The book felt really long while reading it. All parts were important. I can understand why it was so long. However, there are some books that despite being long, don't feel long. This book was not one of those books. I still enjoyed the read, but it felt really long. I read the book, not the graphic novel. I often like to choose the full books instead of the graphic novel so that I make sure not to miss anything that my brain doesn't always pick out in reading graphic novels. I want to continue the series, but I am thinking of switching to the graphic novels instead. Still I recommend the book because it is really creative and an interesting read.
