Travels with Herodotus
by Ryszard Kapuściński
Maybe it was the enthusiastic voice of the narrator (I imagine Kapuściński wouldn't have sounded chipper than that himself), but I really liked this book. The mixture of ancient and modern stories, the language struggles, the images from so many different places, the naivete of the young writer, the escapades and absurd experiences he had - all these make for a very engaging book, and I am glad that this one was finally published in audio format for people to enjoy.
