Indigenous Aztec lore takes on modern views of colonization in with creativity, tension,  and powerful imagery. This author also is a filmmaker according to his bio and I would love to see this play out on film. Pacing issues for me - but that could be the rate at which I picked it up. Overall enjoyed and would recommend for anyone interested in horror that ties to the past trying to rectify the future. I bet it would be a wonderful audio with all the Nahuatl language throughout.
