This book was just meh.  It's not that it was bad, but it wasn't great. It's historical fiction based on the gunpowder plot in England, and it was far less about "witchery" than about life as a royal in England. It's also about ridiculous rules and unspeakable cruelties that England hierarchy imposed at the time, and just made me shake my head in disgust at our treatment of each other because of power and "religion"
