I really enjoyed the two plot lines. The chapters went from the past (how the couple fell in love) to the present (when they are having marital problems). It all leads up to a mysterious wooden box. I won't give any spoilers!
The couple feels real in their marriage: they have issues and the author does not cheapen their experiences for steamy scenes that I have come to dread in romance novels. This is a great look at how people change, how they deal with loss and disappointment, and marriage.
