When the Apricots Bloom by Gina Wilkinson

5.0

I read this book because it was the choice of wellred.bookclub for this month and I really enjoy it. This is an overwhelming story. It amazed me how strong women can be to keep safe their family and the things they are capable of.

It was a pleasant surprise ‘cause I didn’t expect it to be such a great story.

Interesting fact, the author spent more than a year in Baghdad living under the Saddam Hussein regime and under tight surveillance and one of her closest Iraqi friends worked as a secret police informant.
