This is a short story collection by Jorge Luis Borges. Some of them are written in verse which is something I'm not used to, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. One of my favorites was "Inferno, I, 32", and in this one we see a tiger that is locked up, and actually it's related to another story of Borges, that is in The Aleph.
My second favorite one is a poem called The generous enemy in which two men go on a battle, not before that, one writes a poem to his enemy basically wishing him the best, a glorious battle, an epic day, because it will be his last. I just love the way it is written, you almost believe they're best friends.
