A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

4.0

A delightful book and a delightful continuation of the series. I definitely didn't love this one near as much as the first, but it was still a fantastic adventure. I am constantly in awe of how Schwab writes descriptors of people, which is its own kind of magic. This book has a decent plot, but this felt more like a novel of character study: throw them all into the same setting and see what they do. I definitely need to read on in the series to see how the trilogy ends.
