Sorceress by Claudia Gray

Sorceress is one of those books that comes around at the end for a decent rating, but isn’t that great for a bit in the middle. Mostly because this could’ve had the title Bad Decisions Based on Miscommunication, in fact one of the notes I wrote while reading this book was “it’s like the Gift of the Magi: Faust Edition” and that’s not an incorrect comparison. But I actually really liked how it all came together in the end, and that saved it. Overall this series was enjoyable, and Verlaine in particular is probably one of my favorite book characters ever.
