I do not like the themes of theft in the book. The farmers are mere stereotypes, but have worked hard to produce their work. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? For Mr Fox to steal their produce, merely because they are not pleasant people, and be portrayed as the noble hero is a questionable theme for children to attach to. Mr Fox is the parasite that Andrew Ryan warned of and his removal from society is a lauded act.
