Vox by Christina Dalcher

5.0

Clever and timely, Dalcher hits close to home in Vox.
She creates a dynamic CIS female protagonist that shows the realities of the lines women can and will toe that question moral fiber.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the clinical side of this story. Dalcher exhibits poweress in her ability to tie from real-life experience, and the speech (or lack thereof) struck a resonant chord.
Plunking at the heartstrings that a mother would go to get her daughter the tools she needs is painstakingly relatble.
