Stuart Little by E.B. White

(before this starts, I didn't realize I had so much to rant about with this book until I started writing this review. I hope you enjoy it.) It was very interesting to read this book as someone who grew up constantly watching the movies. Let me tell you, this book is a real disappointment compared to the movies. For one, all the characters are worse in this book. The only thing that ties them together is their names. In the book Stuart is stupid and annoying, George is just plain horrible, and the parents are dumb. I'm sorry, but the movies are 10 times better just from the characters. Then there is the plot. The plot in this book is very random and very children's book type writing. It was fun to see this weird things that a mouse was doing, but in the end I didn't really care. The whole plot with him chasing after the bird was just horrible, and the ending was the worst thing ever exspecially since I was hoping it would make up for the rest of the book. I would also like to point out that they never explained why there was a mouse in their family. They just acted like it was a normal thing. Even the people Stuart talked to outside of the family were just like, "oh cool a talking mouse that wears clothes and has a human family". Maybe that was supposed to be apart of the strangeness of it but I don't know. In the end, the movies are way better, and you shouldn't waste you time on this book.
