*sigh* So this one is...a little rough. All the other ones before this has had a fast pace and feeling of wonder that kept them going but this one just felt, stale? Like,
Artemis developing a mental illness is a cool concept but in execution it feels kind of thrown in and just weird and then the villain feels almost like an after thought which really sucks because I liked how he was a sympathetic bad guy!
not only this but at this point Mulch has just become annoyingly obsessive about food, in fact, all of the characters besides maybe Holly sound like their normal selves.
Overall, I just hope the last book can pull me out of the rut that these last two have put me in with this series :(
(Though I have heard that the ending leaves a lot to be desired).
