Gravity by Shaina Anastasi

5.0

Gravity is the first book in the Gravity Falls series. It is planned for release on August 28th. The cover gives me anime vibes, and the blurb accompanied with it makes me imagine a computer game. There’s a unique start to the book, I really love the interactive "games" and the correlation to songs and chapters is really awesome. And learning ancient Fae language? I’m all in!

We follow Rayven as she tries to break free from all the expectations set on her. Her parents want her to be a goodie old domesticated princess, but Rayven wants to explore. When she accidentally falls into the shadowed field she discovers a strange inhabitor. And I think there might be more to him than meets the eye.

The book has a peculiar writing style, which reminds me partly of a poem. Much like how I presume the high fae of old would indeed talk. It’s refreshing to read. It’s also an interactive book, with riddles and rhymes, and it takes you on journeys weaving between worlds and chapters, where we get POV’s of both the Fae and Human world.

Gravity first drew me in with its unique cover, but it kept me hooked throughout with the uniqueness and playfulness of the story. There is a low spiciness, a slight enemies to lovers vibe, dystopian vibes and a whole lot Beauty and the Beast vibes. The world building is awesome, like I could really feel myself in the fairylands and on the steampunk vibe earth. I enjoyed reading Gravity alot, and the ending!!! Such a cliffhanger, I can’t wait to read the second part!

Thanks to the author Shaina Anastasi for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. I received this ARC for free but my opinions are my own and my review is voluntarily.
