Read it when it came out as a serial.

Part 1
5 stars
Superb. Really, everything I want in a book.

Interesting characters, check. (anti-hero does overshadow heroine here)
Compelling storyline, check. (Mafia aspect was just hinted at enough to really intrigue me)
Pearl clutching hotness, check. (Twisted the strand so much, it snapped.)

A few caveats:
24yr old virgin
instalove/attraction

Two usually very bothersome things but only slightly twittered at me. Guess I'm just really feeling the bad bad Leroy Brown comrades right now.

Part 2
4 stars

Didn't quite live up to the first one but still managed to be better than average.

Still liking the characters and where they have taken me and where I think they are going to go.

BDSM aspects are more frequent in this one and in the beginning the story arc takes a hit because of it. The ending part revs up with some action however.

Net! (the soft no)

Veered into erotica way too much for my liking. Where was my Russian mafia suspense story?
Felt rushed and only seemed to skim the surface of characters and story arc.

I want this story flushed out and redone with more in depth, well, everything! Wait scratch that, I think the sex club aspect was well taken care of here.

However, I stayed up until 4am to read all 3parts, so who am I to complain. Obviously, there was something here for me. Mafiya, guns, suspense, in depth story arc are more my kink than circus orgies and cum ropes.

Would recommend reading, who knows maybe it will inspire you to give your neighborhood mafia guy a try.
