A Dream of Flying by The Original Writer, Steve Dillon, Alan Davis, Garry Leach, Paul Neary, Don Lawrence, Mick Anglo

4.0

Seminal early Alan Moore work, but I still enjoyed it more than I expected to. Good writing doesn't age, and despite all superhero writing in the past three decades owing a debt to this serial, it's still a cracking story with great art. The modern colouring is respectfully and artfully done, and while the bonus Warpsmith story is rubbish, I can cheerfully recommend the main story to fans of the real-life superhero subgenre this series spawned.
