The Quiche of Death by M.C. Beaton

4.0

I have been going through a phase of only wanting to read cozy mysteries, but this still provided some nice variation. Agatha can be very unlikable, which is pretty out of the ordinary for a female lead in one of these series. She also develops quite a bit as a character over the course of the book. The mystery is a bit simple, but it is still interesting while leaving room for all the things that have to be done in the first book in a series.
