Passion

So far this is my favorite book out of the series. I loved looking at Luce's past lives. It was so interesting going back in time and seeing her past selves fall in love with Daniel. It was also cool to see how it all worked. Like cleaving and becoming one with whatever past self it was. Then seeing her from that perspective. I also liked that all of her past lives were different from her because they grew up in a different environment with different parents. But the soul was the same. If this was real I think this would be how it worked. I also like that she was soul mates with Daniel and that's what connected them. I loved seeing soul mates in this way. It's another deep discussion that this book has brought up. My favorite part was honestly being in all these historical times. Like the globe and Shakespeare, the mayons and their sacrificing, being at war, and being a slave. It was so fascinating. I have never seen anything like this in a book before. I loved seeing more of what Daniel and Luce had to go through. Daniel was so tormented by her deaths that he killed himself. It was heartbreaking because it would never work because he was an angel. But he would lay broken for weeks. Or sleep for days. It was interesting finding out why Luce was dying. I don't completely understand it though. I guess she dies when she realizes Daniels decision to not choose heaven or hell. But I don't get how she realizes it. Especially when there's nothing giving a hint towards that. Also why does she typically realize it when they make out? I loved Bill. He was funny and I loved his kind of friendship with Luce. I realize it's all fake and he was really Satan but I still liked him. He was there for her and he was a great help. I know it was all manipulative though. As for Daniels side of the story, my favorite part was when he did angel things in the past. Like see Cam and Lillith together. Seeing meetings. Also going to the voting of heaven or hell. I liked how it all tied together and it turned out Daniel was supposed to be the one to fix the past and change the curse. I loved that meeting and seeing Satan get all upset. I also liked hearing the angels vote. Anyway this was an excellent book and I'm excited for the next one.
