Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.

God, this was just so awful. I can’t even consider this a memoir. It was super preachy. It felt like “here’s some horrible things that happened to me and here’s how YOU should learn from it”. I think listening to it made it worse because the attitude she puts behind everything while reading and recording is pretentious. I’m sorry she went through what she did, but I’m not reading a memoir to have someone preach at me. I wanted to like it. 

Also want to note that maybe I’m not the target demographic? But even still, felt super white feminist to me. -A young lgbtq bipoc reader
