The Haunted Hotel by Vawn Cassidy
4.0

Ellis, the ghost whisperer, is back!

I was excited to know that Ellis was going to get his own story. He charmed me in book 4 of the Dead Serious series.
Ellis, the hotel staff, and the ghosts need to find a way to keep the hotel running. On the heels of that, the ghosts have to deal with spectral red tape with a ghost bureaucrat and the arrival of Morgan, the grandson of the hotel owner.
It was such fun revisiting the hotel and characters!
Ellis is the glue that holds everyone/ghost together, a cheery soul, who eventually charms grumpy Morgan! The parallel plots - saving the hotel, matchmaking the 'fleshies' and avoiding the Bureau make it a fun read. Though it's a spinoff of the Dead Serious series, it works well on its own - Ms. Cassidy does a great job of 'fleshing' out (sorry, couldn't resist, lol) the characters, especially the ghosts.
Hoping for more from this new series!
