Another one in which Miles Vorkosigan saves the day through cunning, force, and his characteristically unpredictable use of authority and subterfuge. There are call-backs (quaddies) and signs of late-game Vorkosigan saga, such as a dwindling-down of youthful enthusiasm. Very much worth reading if you've gotten this far, but perhaps not the first you should pick up...
