An awkward academic with no interpersonal skills and a charismatic academic rival with a secret must work together in a very small town in the middle of nowhere to complete the first encyclopaedia of faeries.
Written like an academic journal for a comprehensive record of the excursion and fieldwork, I was thrilled to follow along. The intricacies of Emily's mind were complex yet straightforward. It was like seeing into the brain of an overthinker. I loved it.
